H.O.M.E.S., Inc. is a growing nonprofit organization that provides supportive housing for people with persistent mental disabilities. With four houses in Orange County, California, they currently are building 31 additional units.

By providing affordable housing with appropriate support programs, H.O.M.E.S., Inc. helps people succeed at living independently in their own communities.

The H.O.M.E.S. program director works closely with case managers, residents and dedicated volunteers from the community. Residents have the opportunity to learn to manage their daily activities in a stable, supportive and semi-independent environment. Each resident has a private room and shares in the household chores. No staff live on the premises, but the houses are monitored regularly and on-call help is available in case of emergencies.
